Howard M. Lorber serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Vector Group Ltd. and Chief Executive Officer of its wholly owned subsidiary, New Valley, LLC. Since 1994, Mr. Lorber has actively managed Vector’s and New Valley’s diversified interests, which include New Valley’s broad portfolio of real estate projects located in the United States. Mr. Lorber is Executive Chairman of Douglas Elliman Realty, LLC, one of the nation’s oldest and largest real estate brokerage firms. Douglas Elliman is the largest residential real estate brokerage firm in the New York metropolitan area and the sixth largest residential real estate brokerage firm in the United States. Additionally, Douglas Elliman has offices in South Florida, California, Aspen, Greenwich, Boston and Texas.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lorber has successfully led numerous corporations and, at different times, held positions simultaneously. He serves as Executive Chairman of Nathan’s Famous Inc. and as a director of Clipper Realty, Inc. In 2017, Mr. Lorber received a Presidential appointment to serve as Chairman of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He is also Chairman of the Southampton Hospital Foundation; Co-Chairman of the Silver Shield Foundation--a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance towards the educational costs of children of police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty – and serves on the board of Garden of Dreams. Additionally, he is a trustee of Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami; a trustee of the University of Miami Real Estate Advisory Board and Citizen’s Advisory Board; a trustee of Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi); and is on the Citi Private Bank North American Advisory Board.
Mr. Lorber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Master of Science degree in Taxation, and an Honorary Doctorate from Long Island University, where he is also a trustee.
Jonathan Lemle oversees New Valley’s real estate principal investing platform. He is responsible for the underwriting, structuring and execution of acquisitions in addition to the asset management and financing of the firm’s investments. Mr. Lemle performs the day-to-day operations and management of the firm’s assets. During Mr. Lemle’s tenure, New Valley has closed on a diverse portfolio of assets, including ground-up for sale and rental residential, hospitality and mixed-use developments, and retail assets. Prior to joining New Valley, Mr. Lemle worked at Zeckendorf Development, a luxury residential condominium developer, where he focused on 18 Gramercy Park South, 50 United Nations Plaza and 520 Park Avenue. Prior to Zeckendorf, Mr. Lemle worked at Street-Works Development/Scott-Lawrence Realty and Development, a mixed-use real estate developer and operator. While at both firms he was responsible for deal sourcing, underwriting, financing, entitlements and project management.
Mr. Lemle began his career with Banc of America Securities in its Media/Telecom Investment Banking Group, where he underwrote debt and equity capital markets transactions as well as provided advisory services for merger and acquisition transactions for the firm’s clients. Jon holds a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia Business School with a concentration in real estate and a Bachelors of Arts from Union College.
Dasha Milova joined New Valley in 2014, after graduating with a BBA from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. She assists with the financial analysis, underwriting and structuring of acquisitions, and in her tenure has participated in the acquisition of over a dozen assets. On the asset management side, Mrs. Milova manages and oversees a wide range of assets in New Valley’s portfolio, ranging from ground-up mixed-use developments, to hotels, condos, land developments and retail.
Daniel Dockerty assists with the underwriting, structuring, and execution of acquisitions as well as the asset management and financing of the firm’s investments. Prior to joining New Valley, Mr. Dockerty worked at Starwood Property Trust, a publicly-traded mortgage REIT, where he assisted on the closing of over 30 loan originations totaling nearly $6 billion. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
